Spirit Spiral Medicine: A three day immersion into the spiral’s power of renewal

Over the last 5 years I have developed a series of spiral workshops that release us from the past, recreate us in our perfection today, and reveal the underlying force of creation in the universe. We work with the spiral throughout, that ancient symbol found in indigenous art everywhere, and attributed to everything from the sun to DNA to creation herself.
The spiral holds many secrets: sacred geometry, the spirit’s womb, vortexes, organic growth, even (and especially) the big bang and the shape of the unfolding universe. Working with the spiral, your compassionate spirits can heal your deepest issues, and remake you in your divine perfection. And you can use the spiral’s power to heal others too.
In these three days we weave together the core ceremonies and teachings from these three workshops:
1. The Spiral of Time: We carry the unhealed wounds of our ancestors in our bones. Using the spiral in journey work, we can reveal the stories of our ancestors (and ourselves) and heal them, freeing our ancestors and moving ourselves into grace and perfection.
2. Creation’s Womb: Walking the Spiral Labyrinth connects us to powerful ancient Spirits who guard and protect all of life on earth. We unwind as we enter, and are transfigured in the womb of creation in the center. This ceremony brings in multiple layers of power, and has produced incredible healing for participants and their proxies.
3. Spiral Ecosystems: We are energetically interwoven with ecosystems that support us, physical and social. In this ceremony we experience that interconnection. We realign ourselves with creation itself and experience the harmony of the universe. And we deliver healing power to the planet’s ecosystems who really need this loving!
The 3 day workshop is a mix of journey, ceremony and discovery. Your troubles will be unwound, and you will be reconnected to the source of your truth and power. It is a gentle loving process that the spirits will create exactly for you, matching your needs and reaching your heart. You will also learn techniques to employ the spiral’s medicine with your friends and clients.
The workshop is an immersion. We meet 3 days and two evenings. Breaks will have intention. Sacred space will be maintained throughout with lots of opportunity for divine laughter and silliness! There are three spiral labyrinths that you may use for healing work for yourself, others and the planet throughout the weekend.

The Spiral Cycle of Shamanic Healing Ceremonies
The Spiral Cycle consists of three distinct workshops taught by Carla Meeske Person. They are the spirits’ gift to you. This site has information on all three, and gives you a chance to share your experiences using these ceremonies. There is no need to learn these ceremonies in a particular order. They can stand alone or be done together. When I do all three for a client I use the order below. But I often just use one or another as the Spirits prescribe.
- Healing in the Spiral of Time addresses our deepest roots of pain and heals them in our past lives, our ancestors lives and our own living histories.
- Creation’s Womb: Walking the Spiral Labyrinth brings us powerful help from the Spirits who guard and protect all of life on earth. This ceremony brings in multiple layers of power, and has produced incredible healing for participants and their proxies. (This was called Sacred Animal Masks)
- Spiral Ecosystems brings us into awareness of how we are energetically interwoven with ecosystems that support us, physical and social. It can fundamentally shift our way of understanding the world. In this ceremony we realign ourselves with the harmony of the universe.
The Spirits started revealing this work to me through my healing work for people and animals several years ago. They would give me an idea to try, and then deepen it and take me farther into the constructs over many many sessions. It has been a slow process, and it has shown me a whole cosmological framework that is really pretty mind blowing. I have shared the first two ceremonies in Chicago and Phoenix. The first is called The Spiral in Time, and it allows us to go deep into our history, our past lives, and the lives of our relatives and close relations to finally heal the wounds that we carry in our bones today. It uses two conic spirals to link us into our healed future, and to bring that power down to heal the past. It culminates in an explosion of power that clears out troubles and resets us to move forward in light and harmony. I received this teaching form the Faeries of the Seid, and the work is usually done in that realm. This ceremony has a teaching component that employs sacred geometry, and it is really very cool!
The second ceremony is called the Creation’s Womb: Walking the Spiral Labyrinth, and it involves bringing the compassionate guardian spirits of place, of our tribes and of us into the physical, and asking them for help on a miraculous scale. Every time a community of us performs this ceremony we are blessed with profound results. Last year in Chicago and Phoenix we did the long version of the ceremony, making masks of our helping spirits, and meticulously preparing a physical spiral labyrinth so that it became a vortex of power and a healing womb for our souls. I know of three miraculous healings that have come from our ceremonies – and I am not using that word lightly. I was a recipient; the spirits healed my brain damage after I got the bends. (Thank you Spirits!). Carolyn went into the spiral with her spine in so much pain that she was bent over and her skin was ash colored. She came out pain free, and has remained well since. (She looked great when I saw this summer in Hawaii!). My father had a fainting spell in the middle of the night, and when he gained consciousness, flat on the floor with a lump on his head, he had just enough energy to get the phone to his ear and say “I need help”. We had just empowered the spiral, and we immediately asked the spirits to send the power to him. By the time the ambulance got there he was up and about, feeling pretty much normal. Five days of test and they couldn’t find a cause – maybe dehydration? Who knows! We knew that it didn’t matter. The spirits granted our wish. Last weekend we did the ceremony for a group of animals who are all in bad shape. So far the reports are positive, although their illnesses are such that we can’t expect to have them deemed totally healthy in an instant. One of them is my precious horse Kolur, who is nobly fighting an infection in his shoulder joint. Power to you Kolur.
The third is called Spiral Ecosystems. It involves reshaping our entire vision of how we exist in our environments. I am beginning to see how we are dynamically interlaced with the entire world around us, and while the words seem simple enough, the consciousness shift I am being shown isn’t. No doubt the understanding I am coming to is old hat for serious spiritual seekers from the beginning of mankind. But is a new revelation for me, and I am working with the spirits to birth the ceremony that will allow them to share these revelations with you directly, as you participate in the ceremony with us.
None of these workshops are about me teaching you, or in any way being a special oracle. I help you connect with your teachers for direct revelation. I asked the Spirits ten years ago to allow me to rebirth material for them, and share it with the world, if they would like to use me for that purpose. I love the creative process and I have a long history of working in education so I can put their teachings into something communicable to you. These ceremonial workshops are really just opportunities for you to hold very clear intention and be in direct connection with the Spirits to work though you bringing their love, light and healing into your souls.
What I have learned: The world is rich with loving spirits who would love to help us, but we must ask, and we must be open, and we must know HOW to do both. I have slowly learned how to do this in a consistent way by working at it every day. But ceremony allows me to share those experiences with you, regardless of your level of direct shamanic experience. Through ceremony we can create a Spiritual Canoe to carry each of us into revelation and healing, no matter what our level of shamanic training or development.
